"Do your best, child!"
—Elise

Elise is the 18th ranked contestant on DeathWatch as well as the ninth boss of MadWorld.

Background[]

Elise was once a normal little girl, who came to the sanctuary of the Mad Castle to pray, but was corrupted and turned into a vampire by an evil bat spirit. Now, she roams the castle's sanctuary and feeds on the blood of any and all who dare to pass through.[1] She's now a recurring DeathWatch participant, and quite the skilled one at that, judging by her rank and the fact she defeated Kreese Kreely.

Appearance[]

Elise is a very beautiful woman with pointed ears and a voluptuous body with tribal-like tattoos on her torso, forehead and thighs.

Of course, the most notable feature of hers is how scantily clad she is; apart from her thigh-high leather boots and matching leather armguards, Elise only has a set of leather straps to cover her private areas.

Connected to her armguards, Elise has a pair of large, bat-like wings. However, these wings most likely are only meant to serve as mere decorations, as she's never shown flapping them in order to fly around.

She has long, dark-colored hair which seems to be divided into four, tentacle-like strands and wears an Alice band with two pairs of striped horns attached.

Involvement in DeathWatch[]

Elise is the third and final boss of the Mad Castle area on Jefferson Island. Jack will face her in the castle's sanctuary.

Strategy[]

Elise rarely fights on her own and much rather prefers to stay out of harms way while letting the bats she controls do the legwork; accordingly, this also makes her very difficult to hit. Her bats are quite powerful, as evident by the fact they can demolish the furniture and even the stone pillars inside of the sanctuary. If she is engaged in close combat, Elise will use her hemokinesis to conjure and fire off streams of blood to attack.

In order to fight her, Jack first has to get rid of her bats, either with his chainsaw or by using one of the Torches that can be found in the crates on the right side of the arena; after some time, the remaining bats will vanish and Elise will be open for attacks.

While it looks like she's blocking, Elise will still receive damage, although Jack still has to watch out for her blood attacks. Once she's taken enough damage, Elise will suddenly disperse into a swarm of bats and hide somewhere in the sanctuary to slowly regain health whilst her pets continue to ruthlessly bombard Jack until she has restored enough of her life to re-emerge on her own.

In order to keep this from happening, Jack must first locate Elise, who'll pose as either a statue or a piece of artwork on a stained glass window that are within the sanctuary. Once he's found Elise, Jack has to attack her which will then initiate a Power Struggle.

Power Struggle[]

Elise PowerStruggle2

Elise tries distracting Jack with her "Headlights".

When the Power Struggle occurs, Jack will try and grab Elise, who attempts to escape and land a few meters behind him.

Jack will then quickly charge at her, causing Elise to cross her arms and using her false wings to block the oncoming attack by covering both her head and upper body.

When Jack slowly tries prying her arms apart, he's immediately greeted by the sight of Elise's large, jiggling breasts, which she proceeds to push closer into his face as a form of distraction.

If Jack fails the Power Struggle by gets, Elise will break free from his grip and bite him on the neck, sucking his blood and healing about a sixth of her total health; Elise will then will do a reverse somersault and kick Jack in the face, causing him to be knocked on his back and dealing a fifth of his total health in damage. However, if Jack remains focused enough, he can headbutt Elise directly in her face followed up with an uppercut which causes her to fly backwards and making her lose a third of her total health in the process.

Defeat[]

Upon her defeat, Jack proceeds to use his chainsaw to cut away Elise's wings. Whilst she's distracted, Jack will then bend Elise over his knee and begin spanking her bottom with his bionic arm. Upon the fourth and final spank, Jack strikes her so hard that Elise is sent flying through one of the stained glass windows and out of the castle; it's currently unknown whether or not Elise survived this.

Commentator Quotes[]

Intro[]

  • Kreese: "You know, I like a gal who sucks as much as the next guy, but this blood-hungry bitch can give a hickey that'll put you in the morgue. When I fought her in the Eastern Bloc games I lost the match, four pints of plasma and was declared legally dead for a week!"
  • Howard: "Awesome rack on her, though."
  • Kreese: "Ah, true that. While you're blinded by her headlights, she'll sic a swarm of bastard bats on you to mess up your shit! Plus the fuckers have fleas!"
  • Howard: "Awesome rack on her, though!"
  • Kreese: "True that."

Jack attacking Elise[]

  • Howard: "If she's a vampire, shouldn't Jack be using a silver chainsaw? Or a wooden chainsaw? Or a garlic chainsaw?"
  • Kreese: "Dude, are you off your meds again?"
  • Howard: "Yes, WHY?!"
  • Kreese: "That's a nice ass-kicking."
  • Howard: That's a nice ass, period."
  • Howard: "Jack is takin' that ghoul to school."
  • Kreese: "Cool!"
  • Howard: "Jack dodged those bats better than I dodge my child support payments!"
  • Kreese: "HA-HA! You're a deadbeat dad!"
  • Howard: "And proud of it!"
  • Kreese: "That's an ass-load of bats."
  • Howard: "You can load that many bats up your ass? Call me impressed!"
  • Kreese: "It's sonarific!"
  • Howard: "I normally don't approve of hitting women, way to go Jack!"
  • Kreese: "'Normally don't approve of hitting women'? Didn't your ex-wife get an restraining order after you broke her nose and ruptured her spleen?"
  • Howard: "I said, ''I don't approve of hitting women.'' My ex-wife is a she-beast from hell."
  • Kreese: "Oh, she-beast. Well, that's totally different."
  • Howard: "That's a swingin' combo! Did you see her do that? [Needs verification]
  • Kreese: "Aw, shut up. You just want to stick your dick in her 'cave'."
  • Howard: "That's not ALL I want to do to her."

Elise conjuring bats[]

  • Howard: shrieks loudly "Noooo!"
  • Kreese: "Dude, you're a total pussy!"
  • Howard: "Fuck you. That was a priceless stained glass window."
  • Howard: shrieks in fear "Bats!"
  • Kreese: "Dude, you're a total pussy! What's your fuckin' problem?!"
  • Howard: "All these bats are driving me batshit!"
  • Kreese: "Oh yeah, sure, blame the bats!"
  • Howard: shrieks in fear "More fucking bats!"
  • Kreese: "Dude, you are a total pussy!"
  • Howard: "I'm afraid of bats, sue me..."
  • Kreese: “Looks like Ozzy forgot to shut the door of his fridge again…”
  • Howard: “Or Sharon left her legs open!”
  • Howard: "Those bats are trashing the place!"
  • Kreese: "That's exactly why you should never let a flock of bats crash at your house during spring break!"
  • Howard: "That doesn't make any sense!!"

Initiating a Power Struggle[]

  • Howard: "This oughta be good! Jack and Elise are grappling harder than two virgins on prom night."
  • Kreese: "Who the hell is still a virgin by the time they're at their prom?"

After Jack wins the Power Struggle[]

  • Howard: "That bitch’s shaked and baked!" [Needs verification]
  • Kreese: "Does that mean Jack won the Power Struggle?"
  • Howard: "Yes it does."
  • Kreese: "Then why can't you just fucking SAY SO?!"
  • Howard: "I'M AN ANNOUNCER!"
  • Kreese: “Man, Jack owned that bloodsucking bitch!”
  • Howard: “I’d be happy just to rent her for an hour or so!”
  • Both laugh hornily

After Jack loses the Power Struggle[]

  • Howard: "If I was Jack, I'd strip her down and spank her."
  • Kreese: "Dream on."
  • Howard: "I am!"
  • Kreese: "That 'Hundred-sword Bat Attack' is nasty."
  • Howard: "'Hundred-sword Attack'? Wasn't that a gangbang movie?"
  • Kreese: "Yeah, now THAT was nasty."
  • Kreese: “Ugh! That chainsaw attack nailed Jack!”
  • Howard: “It wasn’t a real chainsaw! It was just a bunch of bats pretending to be a chainsaw!”
  • Kreese: sarcastically “Oh, I’m sure that makes Jack feel much better, thank you…”
  • Howard: "Ha-ha! Jack is getting beat up by a chick! Lucky guy..."
  • Kreese: whispering "I'm touching myself."
  • Howard: “That hot vampire hard body can blow out my candle any time she wants!”
  • Kreese: “Yeah, why would she wanna do that? She goes after real men, like Jack!”
  • Howard: “Why must you shit on my dreams?”
  • Kreese: “I don’t know! Maybe ‘cuz they’re shitty dreams!”

Jack closes in on Elise with a torch[]

  • Howard: “Guess Elise has been burnt more than once by guys holding a torch for her!”
  • Kreese: “Or maybe she just doesn’t like standin’ next to an open flame, you romantic sap!”
  • Howard: “Oh yeah… That could be it…”
  • Kreese: “Man, you’re a tool…”

Defeat of Elise[]

  • Howard: "Strip 'em and clip 'em! That's how you beat a bitch."
  • Kreese: "Are you talking about DeathWatch or your dating techniques?"
  • Howard: "Same difference."
  • Kreese: "Nice move, Jack!"
  • Howard: "Yeah, I've never seen a guy get a chick's clothes off so fast."
  • Kreese: "And Jack wins."
  • Howard: "I think after getting a peek at Elise, we all win."
  • Kreese: *horny laughter*
  • Howard: "Shwoing... And she's out the window with her wings clipped! Bravo Jack! Did you see that? That was awesome!"
  • Kreese: "Oh yeah, Jack did a good job."

Trivia[]

  • Elise is one of three bosses where you don't get to use the Wii remote during the finisher, the others are Von Twirlenkiller and Martin.
  • The way Howard laughs at Jack when he loses a Power Struggle might be a reference to the laughter of Simpsons' character, Nelson Muntz.
  • She is the only boss who exclusively fights in a defensive manner, the rest of the bosses spend most of their time attacking Jack directly.
    • At the start of the battle, Elise won't even attack until Jack closes in on her.
  • Her tattoos might be a reference to Shannon, the sole female member of the Four Devas, and a major antagonist from the stylish beat 'em-up, God Hand, which was developed by Clover Studios, which has now-current members of PlatinumGames among its roster.
    • Her finisher is also similar to a grapple attack used on female enemies in God Hand.
  • Elise is the only boss who's confirmed to be genuinely supernatural.
  • She is also the only boss whose death is never directly confirmed, and there are factors against it, such as her regenerative abilities, her genuinely supernatural nature, and the fact that it's never shown what she landed on, leaving it ambiguous whether or not she survived the fight.
  • Judging by how she refers to Jack as a "child", she might be an immortal, and an incredibly old one at that.
  • Elise (together with Von Twirlenkiller) is one of the final bosses of an area, where Jack has to traverse a level before the boss fight commences.
    • However, hers is by far the shorter of two, as it consists of merely traversing a bridge.
  • Her design is a reference to vampires and succubi, continuing the Gothic horror theme of Mad Castle.
  • Her ability to manipulate bats, as well as her overall design being that of an attractive woman with demonic/vampiric traits, might be a reference to Morrigan, a character from the monster-themed fighting game series, Darkstalkers.
  • Her design could also be a reference to the antagonist Zera from the Spawn Comics.
  • Elise is the only boss in MadWorld who Kreese Kreely directly states to have lost against.
  • Elise is the only boss whose voice actress is not mentioned in the credits, or at least not linked to her role.
  • She shares her boss theme with RinRin.
